I used to believe that, ideologically I still do, but it can be perverted so much that it becomes meaningless.

Less face it currently we have 2 parties I am able to voted for One of them are totally off their rocker, don't seem to have the slightest Idea of how to construct a Joined up policy, engage in endless spin, and are a financial train wreck. The other party led by Corbyn are basically much worse than that, they seem to think that to live in a post nuclear war UK (be that financially or even a real one) is acceptable, just so long as "all amimals are equal" at the time.

A Hobsons choice (chosing between a Terrible party, and a just slightly less terrible party) is no choice at all. It will end up getting to the point where less than 1% of people vote at all, and still the SW1 bubble would call it a "Ringing Endorcement" with 86% of the votes cast.

The current ballot system is critically ill, its pretty much on its deathbed, there is something rotten about our system, and the other animals are waking up to it. I think the day of the pigs is now limited.
