The above quote comes from an article by Labour-supporting journalist Phil Collins in The Times today.

For those born after about 1970 or who were never fortunate enough to see one of Charlie Cairoli's brilliant performances as a child, he was described as "the most famous Clown in the world.

While I understand what Phil Collins means, you can make an argument that comparing the present leader of the Labour party with a wonderful man like Charlie Cairoli is a gross insult to the latter ...
