the thing is does it work better? we know those who control government gained power using deception, legalese, and a type of social controlling as described by Edward Bernays. Brilliant.

But just why have these chains not yet fallen, well thats a story i could write a full essay on, in fact i just gave myself an idea there.

Here is a good question Chris. Why oh why do people who earn less, have to fund the life of people who's benefits amount to someone earning 35K? why? They should be out job hunting to me, and before anyoune tells me there is nothing, they are wrong, when i returned from ZA I worked as a temp at the ******* environment agency, until i found full time employment at Océ its not hard to do. so to cut benefits is the answer, the work is there if you want it, but cut this money for nothing, or at least change benefit money to food stamps.

Jim, there is no justification. I don't think the state should ever allow a situation where people who could work get more money for claiming benefits than they could get by working.

That is a massive injustice both to those who are working and to those who become trapped on benefits - not because they aer "scroungers" but because they are doing what the government has given them incentives to do.

I don't think that's right and neither do David Cameron or IDS which is why the government has capped benefits and increased the minimum wage.

But if you're saying we have further to go, I agree with you.

Chris, what i am saying is pretty simple, yes the current government have capped benefits, which sounds awesome in a soundbite, but they have capped them at a rate which is way, way, way, too high.

Yes the current government have increased the income tax threshold, which sounds great in a sound bite, but they have set it way, way, way too low.

There is no parity, an unskilled worker can still say "well sure there is work there, but it will cost me to take it" There is the problem mate, there it is screaming at you in the face.

I am not one who calls all benefit claiments "scroungers" at the best of time, and yes, some are taking advantage of a system set by government to allow, in fact, persuade them to do, but come on there is the problem.

how to fix it, well start by raising to the tax threshold to minimum wage at 37 per week, and lower benefit cap to that amount less £1500.

its pretty clear to me
