Do Men and women want the same things?

Hat tip to the Huffington Post for an interesting article by pollster Peter Kellner on whether there is a gender gap in British politics.

His article, Vive La Similarite makes the interesting argument that although there are some differences between the political perspectives of men and women - of which the largest and almost the only substantial one is that women are usually less likely then men to support military action - these differences are usually greatly exaggerated.

Usually as a result of numeracy-challenged journalists reading far too much into statistically insignificant differences between male and female polling data.
